Assessment

Ato is bored at home and decides to play a game. He goes to his kitchen and lines up all the fruits he has collected. He wants to count how many different baskets he can make under the following rules:

  1. A basket must contain only distinct fruits (no fruit repeats inside the same basket).
  2. A basket must not be empty.

For example, if the fruits in Ato’s kitchen are:

[banana, mango, banana]

The baskets he can make are:

  1. [banana] (first banana)
  2. [mango]
  3. [banana] (second banana)
  4. [banana, mango] (choosing the first banana)
  5. [mango, banana] (choosing the second banana)

So, the total is 5 baskets.

Now, these are the actual fruits in Ato’s kitchen, in the order he picked them:

[banana, mango, banana, pineapple, pineapple, papaya, orange, banana, mango, orange]
